The clock on the bell tower in Comayagua is thought to be the oldest in the Americas. It displays the old fashioned Roman numeral IIII rather than IV. |
The towns colonial past is evident in many of its buildings. |
The capital city, Tegucigalpa, is surrounded by a ring of mountains. We cycled almost a complete circuit of the ring road in our attempts to find the road into the centre. |
