Arriving in Buenos Aires was a big culture shock. We cycled past smart restaurants, Irish pubs and neon lights to arrive on the widest boulevard in the world. |
Our final target was the ‘Obelisk’ the point from which road distances in Argentina are measured. It was dark by the time we arrived. |
After a year of heading towards this point it was hard to comprehend that we had actually made it. We were feeling rather pleased with ourselves. |
We went out to celebrate at a traditional Argentinean barbecue house. |
Champagne and giant steaks. We weren’t used to living like this. |
