| There are many islands on the river and these prevent you from comprehending the full width of the river. |

| However, the river is so wide that when the view across it is uninterrupted, it is still not always possible to see the opposite shore. |

| Although 36 hours seemed like a long time before we set off, we enjoyed the trip so much we were sorry to leave and wished we were continuing on our boat further downstream. |
